Easy transport options from Orlando hotels & resorts to the theme parks

Orlando, Florida, has become a hot spot for those that enjoy theme parks because, within a matter of minutes, you can visit dozens of theme parks and attractions.

With two huge family theme park names, including Walt Disney World Parks and Universal Studios Orlando, millions of people travel through the Orlando area each year.

Many Orlando hotels have started offering transportation services for their guests to accommodate needs and take something off their plate with all the other expenses they may have – including park tickets, hotel expenses, souvenirs, dining, and so much more.

Aside from actually staying on property at the theme parks – which can work out great if you’re just visiting just one of the parks – there are hundreds of hotels in the greater Orlando area to cater to family travelers who are after a variety of experiences in Orlando and central Florida.

If you’re looking for a hotel in the Orlando area that will provide transportation to Disney AND Universal properties, a number of great family hotels offer this service.

We have done the research for you and found ten of the best options that are relatively close to both mega theme park properties, offer a shuttle service, AND have good reviews and recommendations from previous guests.

Warning – Do read the fine print!

If you’re making your accommodation decision based on the availability of a shuttle, do make sure you read their terms carefully to avoid any disappointment.

  • Some offer shuttles first-come, first-served; if your not queuing early at the designated time, there’s a high chance your group could miss out.
  • If you’re traveling in a larger group or traveling with larger strollers that don’t collapse, you may be denied boarding on to shuttle services (even if you’re traveling with a Disney-size compliment stroller).
  • Reservations are usually not required unless you are traveling with passengers with disabilities – especially ADA scooters. It’s worth checking at least 24 hours in advance to make sure they have accessible space for that day.

Why Stay At An Orlando Hotel With A Shuttle?

If you are visiting Orlando and plan to take a trip to Walt Disney World Resort AND Universal Resort Orlando, we highly recommend checking out one of the above-mentioned hotels for your lodging needs.

While both parks offer great on-site lodging, neither offers transportation services to the opposing property. Staying at one of these resorts offers you the opportunity to stay relatively close to both properties and have transportation available on site to get to those properties.

While some of these hotel’s shuttle services are not complimentary, they should still be considered a cost-saving option; Think about:

  • The cost of gas
  • Paying for parking (WDW parking STARTS from $25 a day!!)
  • Paying for a rental vehicle that spends most of the day doing nothing (if you do not have your own)

It can still be significantly cheaper to pay for the shuttle services to get you to any theme parks you may want to visit, even compared to services such as a taxi or ride-sharing services.

We hope this guide has helped you find options available for your visit to the Orlando area.
